A downloadable tool

The Light Man is a simple and straightforward light manager for Blender that was born out of a desire for a more streamlined tool. As a Python novice, I wasn't sure where to start, so I enlisted the help of ChatGPT to teach me how to build the tool I had in mind. After a few hours of collaboration and some additional tweaks on my own, I'm proud to share the result with the world.

The tool is available for free, as I want to give back to the Blender community and pay it forward for the help I received. However, if you'd like to show your appreciation and support me directly, feel free to reach out to me personally. Please note that I haven't set up any payment mechanisms at this time.

Give The Light Man a try and see how it can simplify your lighting workflow!

The tool was created for Blender 3.4.1 however there's a good chance it will work for your version as it's relatively basic and they might not have changed anything.

Install instructions

Installing it into blender should be as easy as going into blender's preferences>Add-ons>install and picking the .zip file.
then ticking in the box to enable it.

this add-on sits in your "N-panel" so click N to open it up and navigate to the correct tab. from there on i hope the icons and so on make it self-descriptive enough on how to use it but feel free to ask for more assistance (if you don't know what "use nodes" is you can safely ignore that tick and just leave it disabled, it's for fancy stuff using cycles)

If you encounter any issues or have questions about how to use the add-on, don't hesitate to reach out for assistance!
